ESPN.com’s Mark Schlabach has been assigned the task of predicting the ’08 season—during the winter of 2008, as opposed to the customary summer. First, he gave America this the morning after LSU defeated Ohio State in that fake title game.
5. USC
The Trojans played like the best team in the country in their final four games [...]

Apparently, Notre Dame really wants to keep their schedule as easy as possible for the next decade.* Looks like USC and Michigan till 2018, a few Catholic school battles with BC, and eight or nine guaranteed wins (Just like this past season, right?), which puts them in the middle of the BCS money grab.
Speaking of [...]

The Wizard of Odds breaks it down. The 2007 data show that either Florida and FSU were big for TV or Kentucky and Michigan fans didn’t travel.

Turns out the folks behind the Kansas City Star’s playoff bracket have done a little simulation of their own, which they call December Madness. Currently they’ve settled on the Final Four: OSU vs. OU and Va Tech vs. SC (who beat LSU to get there, by the way).
Also, they’ve predicted each of the bowl games. [...]

Here is the bottom line:
Chuck Casserly made a smart move for the Texans, who play in the Peyton Manning division; they needed a pass-rush presence and in two years he has figured it out.
The Saints made a good pick based on the fact that they had Deuce: Reggie works well in space and can catch [...]

From, as always, Awful Announcing:
Tonight: The Battle of the Techs, with the lovely Erin Andrews on the sidelines. I might watch, since there’s nothing else sports-related on television, but these two teams are seriously dull.
Saturday:
Early Games: Wisconsin at Ohio State on the Big Ten Network (noon Eastern). For those of you without DirecTV enjoy not [...]
