Welcome to Week 11. We have very few games that mean anything (again) and I missed all of the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday action so here is how you should spend your Saturday watching college football.

Friday, November 13th

Tonight is Friday the 13th and will it be bad luck for Cincinnati as West Virginia comes up the road to the Queen City to take on the Bearcats. This could be the best game of the weekend if WVU plays well or we could get a Cincinnati blowout and people will get to hear more about Cincinnati and Brian Kelly leaving to coach at Notre Dame.

  • West Virginia @ Cincinnati (ESPN2, 8pm) - Joe Tessitore, Rod Gilmore, Quint Kessenich
  • Temple @ Akron (ESPNU, 8:30pm) - Justin Kutcher, Tom Luginbill

Now, at 3:30 Eastern we have a few interesting games that will glue me to my couch. Florida travels to South Carolina to possibly end the Ole Ball Coach’s run with the Gamecocks. If Coach Spurrier can pull the upset, he will end the Gators run and save America from Urban Meyer and Tim Tebow. Over on ABC (part of the country) you can watch Iowa fall apart and give the Rose Bowl berth from the Big 11 to the Buckeyes. Also at 3:30pm, on FSN, Stanford comes to LA to try to continue their run through alleged heavyweights of the Pac-10 and give Pete Carroll his first loss in November.

  • Texas-El Paso @ Southern Methodist (Time Warner-MetroSports, 3pm) - CJ Martin, Bruce Wiseman
  • Florida @ South Carolina (CBS, 3:30pm) - Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson, Tracy Wolfson
  • Iowa @ Ohio State (ABC/ESPN, 3:30pm) - Sean McDonough, Matt Millen, Holly Rowe
  • Nebraska @ Kansas (ABC, 3:30pm) - Ron Franklin, Ed Cunningham
  • Miami @ North Carolina (ABC/ESPN, 3:30pm) - Bob Wischusen, Brian Griese
  • Stanford @ USC (FSN, 3:30pm) - Barry Tompkins, Petros Papadakis, Michael Eaves
  • Idaho @ Boise State (ESPNU, 3:30pm) - Todd Harris, Charles Arbuckle
  • Delaware @ Navy (CBS College Sports, 3:30pm) - Tom McCarthy, Randy Cross
  • Washington @ Oregon State (FSN Northwest, 3:30pm) - Tom Glasgow, Steve Preece, Rashad Floyd, Angie Mentink

  • Louisiana-Lafayette @ Middle Tennessee (Sun Belt TV, 4:15pm) - Todd Kalas, Derek Rackley (Will Air on CSS, CST)
  • UCLA @ Washington State (FCS Pacific, 5pm) - Steve Physioc, Yogi Roth, Samantha Steele
  • Nevada-Las Vegas @ Air Force (MTN, 6pm) - James Bates, Todd Christensen, Natalie Vickers

In prime-time we have one game that means something and another that I will watch hoping to see the end of the Tuna. Utah comes to Fort Worth to take on the 9-0 Horned Frogs and end their Cinderella hopes. Can the Runnin’ Utes pull the upset, or will the TCU defense keep dominating opponents and roll towards a BCS bid? Also, on ABC we can all hope that Pittsburgh kills the Fighting Irish and we can watch the camera shots of Chuck Weis rubbing his gut as he contemplates running back to Bellichick.

  • Alabama @ Mississippi State (ESPN, 7pm) - Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge, Erin Andrews
  • Auburn @ Georgia (ESPN2, 7pm) - Mark Jones, Bob Davie
  • Texas A&M @ Oklahoma (FSN, 7pm) - Joel Meyers, Gary Reasons, Jim Knox
  • Louisiana Tech @ Louisiana State (ESPNU, 7pm) - Eric Collins, Brock Huard
  • Arizona @ California (Versus, 7pm) - Ted Robinson, Glenn Parker, Lewis Johnson
  • Utah @ Texas Christian (CBS College Sports, 7:30pm) - Tom Hart, Aaron Taylor
  • Troy @ Arkansas (SEC Network, 7:30pm) - Doug Bell, Chris Doering (Will Air on CSS, CST)
  • Notre Dame @ Pittsburgh (ABC, 8pm) - Brent Musburger, Kirk Herbstreit, Lisa Salters
  • Texas Tech @ Oklahoma State (ABC, 8pm) - Mike Patrick, Craig James, Heather Cox

Late night on ESPN brings us Oregon’s bounce back game from the meltdown at Stanford. Hey—it’s more football on the WWL if you have nothing else to do.

  • Wyoming @ San Diego State (MTN, 10pm) - Bill Doleman, Robert Griffith, Molly Sullivan
  • New Mexico State @ Hawaii (Time Warner-Oceanic, 10pm) - Bill Leahey, Russell Yamoaha
  • Arizona State @ Oregon (ESPN, 10:15pm) - Terry Gannon, David Norrie

Sunday, November 15th

Pats/Colts or Pirates/Hurricane? Yep—I’ll probably put up with Al Michaels too.

East Carolina @ Tulsa (ESPN, 8:15pm) - Dave Lamont, JC Pearson

Have a great weekend, enjoy the games and thanks to Awful Announcing for the week’s TV Schedule.
