Week 7 got off to a boring start last night as Louisiana-Monroe beat Arkansas State 16-10 in the rain. I know that ESPN is giving us games on Tuesday and Wednesday night to counter-program the baseball playoffs since they got pushed out by TBS. However, there is no baseball tonight (or last night) as baseball is apparently willing to give up its playoff momentum just so they can stick to their TV schedules.
Wednesday night we get an interesting WAC/C-USA match-up in Tulsa. However, you will need the mute button as May/Holtz will be over the top and “Dr. Lou” will turn this into a Notre Dame suckfest if the game gets out of control for the Broncos.
Wednesday, October 14th
Boise State @ Tulsa (ESPN, 8pm) - Rece Davis, Mark May, Lou Holtz, Todd Harris
Thursday night brings CFB vs. NLCS, and I think that this game could bring ESPN a solid rating as we can see if Cincinnati really is the dominant team in the Big East. We will also see if South Florida is really ready for primetime. Weather might be a factor as there is a chance for thunderstorms Thursday night and the weather is very warm for mid-October in Tampa.
Thursday, October 15th
Cincinnati @ South Florida (ESPN, 7:30pm) - Chris Fowler, Craig James, Jesse Palmer, Erin Andrews
Friday, October 16th
If you don’t want to watch the Yankees you can turn to ESPN for some more Big East football. I will swing by and check it out because I wonder if Pitt has anything, and I wonder if Rutgers will be an interesting opponent for South Florida if they pull the upset Thursday night.
Pittsburgh @ Rutgers (ESPN, 8pm) - Joe Tessitore, Rod Gilmore
Saturday, October 17th
Gameday is coming to the State Fair of Texas and ABC is moving the primetime game to Noon Eastern as Brent and Kirk will be boring the sh*t out of America. I’m sorry, but they’re just not a good broadcast team. And since they’re calling the national championship game this year, I just want America to be ready for this. I had not watched a game they broadcasted really this year and I was forced to this past weekend as the people I was with cared more about the Big 11 game than Florida/LSU and Brent has lost it and Kirk doesn’t ever give any analysis at all when doing games. He does so much better on Gameday than he does in the booth.
In addition to watching OU/Texas at noon, you should also flip by ESPN to see if Iowa can hold onto its position as the leader in the Big 11 race.

- Wyoming @ Air Force (MTN, 2pm) - Dan Gutowsky, Jay Leeuwunberg, Roger Bailey
In the 3–3:30pm Eastern window you will get 0 good games from ABC (of the 4 regional games) and so you should have picture-in-picture for CBS as the Razorbacks come to the Swamp to take on the Gators and the NotreDame Broadcasting Company will bring you the Irish and the 4 inch rough (err) grass hosting the USC Trojans. America and the Sports Media want the Irish to win because they love talking about Charlie Weis and the Heisman candidacy of Jimmy Clausen, so they will talk about the Irish all week while Vegas keeps moving the line north of SC -10.

- Hawaii @ Idaho (ESPN Plus, 5pm) - TBD (Will Air on Altitude2, CST)
In the 7–8pm Eastern window there is nothing to watch until 8pm when South Carolina travels to Alabama. More SEC on TV, but it’s a battle of ranked teams and since the media has moved Alabama to #2 they need to keep winning to make the Florida-Bama SEC title game rematch be the game of the century part 47.
- Virginia Tech @ Georgia Tech (ESPN2, 6pm) – Mark Jones, Bob Davie
- Brigham Young @ San Diego State (MTN, 6pm) – Ari Wolfe, Blaine Fowler, Jenny Cavnar
- Kansas @ Colorado (FSN, 7pm) - Bill Land, Dave Lapham, Emily Jones
- Illinois @ Indiana (BTN, 7pm) - Craig Coshun, Anthony Herron, Mike Hall
- Alabama-Birmingham @ Mississippi (SEC Network, 7pm) - Bob Rathbun, Dave Archer, Jenn Hildreth (Will Air on FS Florida, South)

- South Carolina @ Alabama (ESPN, 8pm) - Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge, Erin Andrews
- Florida Atlantic @ North Texas (Sun Belt TV, 8pm) - Todd Kalas, Derek Rackley (Will Air on CST)
In the late night window we get a couple of interesting games. Missouri choked against Nebraska and now needs the win to stay in the Big 12 North race and OSU needs to prove they are still a contender in the Big 12 south with Texas coming to Stillwater in 2 weeks. Also late night on FSN, we get to see if Washington can win a game outside of Seattle as they travel to Tempe.
- Missouri @ Oklahoma State (ESPN2, 9:15pm) – Ron Franklin, Ed Cunningham
- Utah @ Nevada-Las Vegas (MTN, 10pm) - Bill Doleman, Robert Griffith, Toby Christensen
- Washington @ Arizona State (FSN, 10:15pm) – Barry Tompkins, Petros Papadakis, Michael Eaves
