Actually, that 8% was Randy and me using 3,976 different IP Addresses to vote.
Can someone please come up with an answer to why a playoff in college football is a good idea other than “We must have a “true” national champion”?
I am really interested to see what the other side of this debate is, because I have never heard an argument for a playoff that would do more good than bad to the sport. Typically, the reason revolves around the idea that a playoff would give college football some credibility that it’s apparently lacked all these years.
Keep in mind that college football should be viewed and debated within the parameters of what the sport actually is, not what people think it should be (ie- it’s not the NFL so we can’t compare it with the NFL as a model for how things should go).
