The Bob Stoops years at OU continue to get funnier for non-Sooner fans: Oklahoma has been forced to forfeit all games played in 2005 including their Holiday Bowl win over Oregon. I always thought that Stoops, after winning a title in year two, would just continue to dominate the Big 12—but now he has fallen behind Texas in his own division and has brought a pyramid scheme and NCAA sanctions to the program. Bravo Bob, Bravo.

[...] As we have already noted here at Student Body Right, the NCAA slapped Oklahoma’s hand and they forced to vacate all of their 2005 wins and they will lose 4 scholarships over 2 seasons (08-09 and 09-10). Now, CollegeFootballNews resident expert Pete Fiutak takes his shots at the NCAA and how they handled the OU situation. I couldn’t agree more with Pete, the NCAA just doesn’t seem to get it as they police their most important sport with blinders on (of course since they don’t even control the 1-A post season it seems ridiculous that they control the regular season).
