College Gameday will start the season by tugging at America’s heart strings. ESPN has announced today that Chris, Lee, Kirk (and Desmond) will open the season at Virginia Tech, when the Hokies host East Carolina. ESPN will even be allowing Mike Tirico to leave the NFL for a week to do play-by-play for the game. ESPN is really pushing the envelope by making themselves a part of the story more and more instead of just reporting it.
